We spend a lot of time teaching kids what it means to have faith - but just as important is helping them learn how to live that faith out. Jesus showed us that even the smallest faith, like a mustard seed, can grow into something powerful. We believe the same is true for our kids. Small acts of kindness and simple moments of serving can begin to shape their hearts in lasting ways.

Mustard Seed Outreach is open to kids in Kindergarten - 6th Grade. We will meet monthly, 11am-1pm, for our outreach activities! Our schedule of events for May - September is listed below the sign-up form.

Each time we meet will be simple and intentional: a short Bible lesson, a hands-on project, and a moment to pray for the people we are serving. The goal is to help the kids understand that they can make a difference right now, that they have a place in both the church and the world around them.

DATE: May 23 (Kickoff!)

THEME: Malawi Missionary Encouragement (Foster Smart)

SCRIPTURE: 3 John 1:6-8

ACTIVITY: Meet and greet with some of Malawi’s teachers and children. Our children will make DIY puzzles and create cards to send to the children in Malawi (50 children). There is also a suggested donation of $10 towards shipping costs.

THEME: Blessings for the Homeless (Made New Ministries – Bob and Marci Lowman)

SCRIPTURE: 1 John 3:16-18

ACTIVITY: Children will put together 75 snack and hygiene bags and make cards to go along with each one. Bob and Marci will hand them out on Saturday 7/4.

DATE: July 18

THEME: Treat Boxes for the Elderly

SCRIPTURE: 1 Timothy 5:1-2

ACTIVITY: Children will bake cookies and deliver them to the elderly (those within our church family and/or in local nursing homes). Baked goods will be brought to Calvary to package. Children will then have a chance to chat with those they are blessing when they deliver them.

ACTIVITY: Create craft kits/toys/homemade games for foster kids/those in shelters - still in the planning stages, more to come!
