PRAYING

LECTIO 365

We recommend following along with the Lectio 365 app (download it here). Lectio 365 is a free daily prayer app with morning, midday & evening prayers to help you experience God’s presence in your life.

24-7 PRAYER

We will also be hosting a 24-7 week of prayer leading up to Easter (March 28-April 4). Our brothers and sisters in Malawi and Mozambique will be joining in with us as well! More details and sign-up are coming soon!

FASTING

Prayerfully consider what the Lord would have you fast from during this time and what that looks like for you. You can begin with one thing and add or increase as we go. Many people fast from a food, others may fast from media or news - or even a combination of these.

Some questions to ask as you decide:

  • What is your single greatest time waster?
  • What does He want me to draw back from?
  • What always fits into your schedule, no matter what? What finds its way into your down time?

FEASTING

On the 6 Sundays during Lent we want to encourage you to be in community by sharing meals together. Invite someone over or out for a meal and be open to accepting invitations from others.

"We break from fasting once a week on Sundays - a day of rest where our focus shifts from Christ's Cross to His Resurrection." Pete Greig
